Mukai Daisuke and Matsubara Ami
In painting the screens, we wanted them to share in the world of the lotuses of the ceiling paintings. We painted the flowers of the seasons with the spirit of hope for the rebirth of new life found in the scattered lotus petals. Matsubara took on spring and summer on the upper side screens, and Mukai took on fall and winter on lower side.
